Baptism Day Information

Normally baptisms take place when Holy Communion is not part of the worship service, in order to keep the services as close to an hour in length as possible without sacrificing any of its components (currently, Communion is part of the service on the 1st & 3rd weeks of the month, so baptisms can usually be scheduled on the 2nd / 4th / 5th weeks - if a specific Sunday is not available for baptisms due to other special services or events, we will contact you to suggest an alternative).

While exceptions are possible in special circumstances, baptisms will normally take place in the context of a worship service, rather than being held privately.

There may or may not be other baptisms at the same worship service

Upon returning the completed form to the church office, you will receive a confirmation email of the date and time of baptism.

Upon your child’s baptism at Zion, your child will become a member of the congregation. Please let us know if you would like their membership transferred to another church.
