Sunday School is currently offered during the 8:30 & 10:30 worship services.

What to expect at Sunday School

Zion's Sunday School follows a Rotation model. Children begin in their homerooms and then rotate through three stations to learn our weekly lesson. Children will rotate between music/games, crafts and story time, strengthening their relationship with God.

We can’t wait to be back together at Zion for Sunday school where Zion KiDS will learn to Know Gods Love, Invite Others, Do Like Jesus, and Strengthen Families.

    Support

We have a thriving Sunday school program here at Zion, and because of that, we need a firm foundation of awesome volunteers. Volunteers will have 100% support and guidance from Zion’s Children and Family Ministry Team. If you love God, love children, and want to see your faith grow, please get plugged in. We will have a great time together as we share the love of Jesus and impact young lives!

Our Sunday school students are a cherished part of our church family. The program is a gift we joyfully offer to them and their families, nurturing faith, friendship, and growth.

If you feel moved to support this ministry, your donation will help cover the cost of curriculum, crafts, snacks, special events, and more—each element contributing to a meaningful experience for our children.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us continue to bless our youngest members.

    Covenant

At Zion, we strive to create a healthy learning environment for each child and we also have a high standard of excellence. As families, we need to partner in this ministry in order to make that happen. This includes finding ways to volunteer in the ministry, supporting and partnering with the staff and volunteers, and communicating expectations with our children. We have 2 basic expectations of children who participate in Zion's ministries: Respect -Treat everyone and everything the way we would want to be treated Work Hard – Participate, have a good attitude and give our best in all we do Zion KiDS stands for KNOW God's love, INVITE others, DO like Jesus, STRENGTHEN families. Our goal is for all children to be known by name so that they feel loved and in turn KNOW God's great love and share it with others (including their family!). However, this is difficult to accomplish if there are behavior struggles in the classroom. If there is a discipline issue during the year, the following steps will be taken to maintain a healthy learning environment for everyone: 1. The first time there is a discipline issue, the teacher will remind the child of the classroom covenant and ask them to change their behavior. It is easiest for us to do nothing, but because we care about each child we will work with them to make it right. Parents will also be notified of the disrespectful behavior. 2. After the second incident, Zion's CFM staff will have a meeting with the child and their parent/s about the disruptive behavior. Working with the specific situation, agreements will be set in place about how to proceed. 3. After the third major incident, the child will be asked to take at least a two-week break from Sunday School and return when they are ready to participate.
