Sunday School Volunteers 2025-2026

We are thrilled to be partners in ministry and couldn't do it without YOU! Do you love children and love God? If you answered YES to both of those questions, we invite you and would LOVE for you to join our team and the excitement at Zion. We need help with many tasks & events and everyone is welcome! Help us to get to know you and we will find a place to plug you in... we'd love to help you discover your gifts. Thanks for your partnership in ministry... we are better together! PS: Please save this date in your calendar - Wednesday, September 10 from 6:30-7:30pm. We will have a short, IMPORTANT, Sunday school Teacher/Shephard training! We are so thankful and excited to have you on our Children and Family Ministry Team. YOU ARE THE BEST!! :) We encourage you to think of someone with whom you would love to volunteer. Volunteering is much more enjoyable when working with a friend or partner!

Sunday School Co-Teacher: Perhaps you love to teach, impact and enjoy kids, but would like teach by teaming up with a friend or family member. You would get to split the lead in facilitating the lessons and connection with families. We prefer adults and/or high school students for this volunteer position.

As volunteers who work with children at Zion, we ask that you make a commitment to this ministry if you are going to participate. We have a high standard of excellence and this includes showing up and being prepared each time you are with the kids. Being a SS Teacher/Shepherd at Zion is not a huge time commitment but it is a very important one!

We know that unexpected things will come up… and, as a team, we will always be here for you! But we ask that you do your best to fulfill your commitment if you sign up to work with the kids… this includes attending the mandatory Teacher/Shepherd training (there will be more information regarding date and time coming shortly). It also includes looking at each lesson ahead of time (so you know what the supplies that we provide are to be used for), working to find a sub if you need to be gone (or letting us know far enough in advance to coordinate for your absence) and being committed to get to know the kids in your group so that you can share God's love with them.

We will always be here to support you and we are SO grateful for your partnership in ministry!

I am ready to make a commitment to excellence!
